# Dashboards

> Build and share dashboards of spend and attribution data, or start from one of the prebuilt dashboards.

Dashboards turn billing and attribution data into a page you can share with finance, engineering and leadership. Start from a prebuilt dashboard and clone it, or build your own from widgets.

## The Dashboards page

Under **Explore**, select **Dashboards**. Each dashboard shows its name, description, owner and when it was last modified. Search by name, filter to **Favourites only**, switch between grid and list views, and **Export** the list.

## Prebuilt dashboards

Dashboards owned by **Optimaze** are prebuilt and read-only. Open one to explore it, then clone it to get an editable copy of your own.

| Dashboard | Covers |
| :- | :- |
| **AI Overview** | Spend across AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Cursor) and AI and machine learning services |
| **Cloud Overview** | Spend across AWS, Google Cloud and Azure |
| **Engineering Overview** | Infrastructure spend across compute, storage, databases and networking |
| **Finance Overview** | High-level cloud spend with trends and breakdowns |
| **Kubernetes Overview** | Spend across Kubernetes on AWS, Google Cloud and Azure |

## Create a dashboard

1. Select **New dashboard**. OPTIMAZE creates a blank dashboard and opens the editor.
2. Add widgets, then drag to arrange and resize them on the grid.
3. Changes save automatically as you work.

### Widget types

| Widget | Use it for |
| :- | :- |
| **Line chart** | Spend over time |
| **Area chart** | Cumulative or filled trends |
| **Bar chart** | Comparing periods |
| **Pie chart** | Share of a total |
| **Stat** | A single figure, with an optional comparison to a prior period |
| **Table** | Spend broken down by the dimensions you choose |

### Configure a widget

Open a widget's configuration to choose its data and how it looks.

* **Data source**: **Spend** for standard cost views, or **Attribution** for views scoped to an attribution model, its nodes or targets. Filters work the same way as in [Analytics](https://docs.optimazehq.com/analytics.md).
* **Date range**: use the dashboard's date range, or set one for the widget alone.
* **Display**: chart style, legend, palette, number format and comparisons with a prior month or year.

A live preview updates as you change settings.

## Share a dashboard

Select **Copy dashboard URL** in the dashboard toolbar. Filters a viewer changes on a shared link apply only to them and are not saved to the dashboard.

## Manage a dashboard

Open **Dashboard actions** in the toolbar to clone, edit settings (name, description, owner, defaults and version history) or delete a dashboard. **Version history** lets you restore an earlier layout.
