# User management

> Invite users, assign organisation roles, and manage access to your Optimaze organisation.

Optimaze organisations have members with one of two roles: **Admin** or **Member**. Admins can invite and remove users, manage integrations, and perform sensitive actions such as creating and revoking [API keys](https://docs.optimazehq.com/api-auth.md). Members have standard dashboard access with limited administrative capabilities.

This guide covers the Users page, inviting colleagues, and removing access.

## The Users page

Under **Settings**, select **Users** in the dashboard.

The page lists everyone in your organisation with their name, email, role, status, and the date they joined.

| **Control** | **Description** |
| :- | :- |
| **Role tabs** | Filter the list by All, Admins, Members, or Disabled |
| **Email search** | Find users by email address |
| **Sort** | Order by newest or oldest |
| **Invite** | Invite a new user by email |

## Organisation roles

| **Role** | **Access** |
| :- | :- |
| **Admin** | Full organisation administration: invite and remove users, manage integrations, create/rotate/revoke all API keys, and configure organisation settings |
| **Member** | Standard dashboard access: view insights, attribution, budgets, and other product features; create API keys they own; list only API keys they created |

There is no separate read-only dashboard role. For programmatic read-only access, use [API keys](https://docs.optimazehq.com/api-auth.md) with read scopes such as `metrics:read` or `budgets:read`.

## Inviting a user

Click **Invite** in the top right to open the invite dialog.

1. Enter the user's **email address**.
2. Select a **role** — **Member** (default) or **Admin**.
3. Click **Invite**.

If the person already has an Optimaze account, they are added to your organisation immediately. If they are new, Optimaze creates an invited account and sends a welcome email. They activate their account on first login through Auth0.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only organisation admins should invite users and assign the Admin role. The user who creates an organisation is automatically granted Admin.

## Removing a user

To remove someone from your organisation:

1. Find the user in the list.
2. Open the row actions menu.
3. Choose **Remove** and confirm.

Removing a user revokes their access to your organisation. Their Optimaze account may still exist if they belong to other organisations.

## Authentication

Users sign in to Optimaze through Auth0. After login, Optimaze verifies organisation membership and issues a session scoped to the active organisation.

Enterprise customers can configure SSO (SAML or OIDC) through Auth0. Contact your Optimaze account team or [support@optimazehq.com](mailto:support@optimazehq.com) for SSO setup guidance.
